Community Giving Program Expands in 2024
One way you can support LifeFlight is by going to your next town meeting and encouraging your town council to support LifeFlight of Maine. Or, send your town counselor an email or make a quick phone call. Simply share with them that you think LifeFlight is vital to your community, or tell some of your LifeFlight story.
Each year, LifeFlight, which is an independent nonprofit, reaches out to Maine communities to ask for their support. There are 465 municipalities in Maine, and this tends to be the time of year when they hold meetings to make decisions about the organizations and services they will support.

Since 1998, 272 towns in Maine have made donations to LifeFlight totaling $916,062. So far this fiscal year, 175 communities have contributed $118,036. Many communities contribute generously year after year. We’d like to welcome Penobscot, Wade, St. Albans, Arundel, Monson, Gilead, Belmont, and Farmingdale into the Community Giving Program.
