Webinar: Pre-Hospital Cyanide Poisoning
About This Webinar
LifeFlight of Maine is pleased to announce the presentation of a 1-hour Webinar on Pre-Hospital Cyanide Poisoning primarily focused for EMS professionals at all levels.
This class includes discussion about the incidence of cyanide poisoning in residential fires, pathophysiology related to treatments and effects on the human body, as well as a review in the administration of Hydroxocobalamin in the prehospital environment. Additionally, there will be discussion about Maine EMS protocols and other toxicology related to conditions that may mimic a cyanide poisoning.
This class is approved for 1-hour of Maine EMS CEH – Medical. Additionally, this class will satisfy National Registry Category – Medical – Toxicological. In order for participants to receive credit they must attend the entire class and complete a class evaluation form at the conclusion of the program.
