Stephanie Shunda
Stephanie Shunda joined the LifeFlight Foundation in March of 2024, bringing more than 18 years of diverse fundraising and non-profit experience. In her previous position, she secured funding and advocated for military and veteran family programs that addressed the challenges of military life. Switching gears only slightly to support LifeFlight of Maine’s first responders, she is excited to contribute to the fundraising team supporting the needs of the state’s only critical care air ambulance service.
Stephanie grew up in New Jersey and attended Monmouth University, earning a bachelor’s degree in communication, and is working towards a Project Management certification. As a military spouse, she has lived and worked in many places, such as a military service organization in Virginia, a college in Connecticut, several large hospital systems in Massachusetts and New Jersey, and the Maine Historical Society in Portland.
In her non-existent free time, Stephanie enjoys reading, baking tasty treats, and exploring all the beautiful areas of Maine—where her husband, two children, and dog have put down roots after many years (and moves) directed by her husband’s career with the U.S. Coast Guard.
