Alison Murtagh
Alison Murtagh joined the LifeFlight Foundation in August 2024. Alison grew up in Andover, Massachusetts and attended college at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. There she studied Journalism and Environmental Science and competed on the university’s Varsity Swim Team.
Alison moved to Maine originally to pursue a career in broadcast journalism. She spent five years as a newscast producer at CBS13 in Portland, where she won two Region 10 Edward R. Murrow Awards and was nominated for a New England Emmy Award. She also was a freelance writer for U.S. News & World Report. Alison decided to leave the newsroom and is now a Communications Associate with LifeFlight.
Alison lives in Portland with her dog, Timber. She enjoys swimming, hiking, and skiing. As a coffee enthusiast, you can often find her checking out different coffee shops across the state.
